Morning Walk
Dedicated to Weston David MacLean
Vigee
This is a relatively old painting based on a self-portrait of the French painter Vigee-Lebrun - and doesn't look anything like her! She's an interesting and talented painter during the French revolution, nonetheless. Lived a long life, wrote an interesting memoir and an obvious beauty. I think her talent captured me as much as anything else.
Girl in Red on Fence

Hammershoi
This is the Dutch artist Hammershoi with a very lose, rough image of Ver-meer's Little Street in the background.

Girl with Red Bow
Another old one cropped from Shorpy. Although not much still like the presence of the subject. Background derived from "B" Ave. Geneseo, KS.
Girl with a Red Scarf
Another old one cropped from Shorpy, circa 1940, I think. Always meant to finish it but now it's far too late! Like the Girl in Red on the fence, I like the ambiguity of expression and try and stop when I see it.
Boogie Girl
...lifted from William-Adolphe Bouguereau painting.
